Hi, I’m Louise. I am a PGDE qualified science teacher with 11 years of experience of teaching science in a range of secondary schools in Sheffield, across year groups 7-13. I hold a Science PhD and a Masters in Learning and Teaching. I love teaching and moved to online tuition 5 years ago to give my students a more tailored experience away from the behavioural issues of the conventional classroom.
I trade as BYG Science Tuition and offer lessons in KS3 Maths and Science, and GCSE Chemistry, Biology and Physics. Lessons take place in the evening or weekend at a time that suits you.
Lessons are one-to-one or in small groups of up to 6 students. Lessons are individually tailored to meet the needs of the students and the exam board (e.g. AQA, OCR or Edexcel). I include lots of exam question practice and notes are provided at the end of each lesson to minimise the need for taking notes during the lesson.
My student and parent feedback is overwhelmingly positive – thank you! I have included some of their testimonials on this website. This means so much to me and it really gives me joy to know that I have helped your child succeed.
To find out more, please get in touch. The easiest way is to drop me a text and I will get back to you.
Whether you are aiming for a pass, or need high grades to get on to the right A-Level course, my tuition is right for you

Thank you very much for all your help with Meilin’s Chemistry. She has found the subject very difficult and needed a lot of support, but your patience and clear explanations are really helping her. We are very grateful for your time and encouragement.
