GCSE Subject Offer

Science for students in years 9, 10 and 11

Differentiated online lessons in Chemistry, Biology and Physics

For GCSE students, the three sciences—Chemistry, Biology, and Physics—are taught separately. Students are grouped according to their level (Higher or Foundation) and the scope of their course (Triple or Combined Science). Where possible, I also group students by exam board. However, because much of the content overlaps across boards, this isn’t essential and does not affect the quality of learning

I ensure that students cover the key content they need for their exams, with a focus on the required practicals. These are a set of experiments prescribed by the exam boards to demonstrate key concepts and develop essential practical skills. I demonstrate many of them live online, allowing me to check students’ understanding in real time.

I provide practice questions to help students learn how to interpret and respond to exam questions effectively.

I monitor and support student progress using a five-level framework (below). This helps students improve as they acquire new knowledge, connect it with what they’ve already learnt, and apply it in new ways to unfamiliar contexts.

Track your progress - five-level learning framework

With this structured approach, students don’t just prepare for exams — they develop the confidence and curiosity to think like scientists.
